I'd argue the themes from this and John Williams' Jurassic Park (also the same year) have become completely timeless. Man, '93-'94 was like a mini-golden age for film and scores. Goldsmith had already been nominated 14 times by this point for Best Musical Score. Another legendary inspirational sports-movie snub is Bill Conti's iconic Rocky score (1976). Not even nominated!

Love the film. Saw it the first time tonight. I wouldn't say it's now one of my all time favourites but it's a good film. Maybe it was overhyped I don't know. But the highlight has to be Jerry Goldsmith's score. He is a genius. Deserves to be up alongside Zimmer and Williams.
